Karp KRP-450-FR Non-Insulated Fire Rated Access Door 16" x 16" The Karp KRP-450-FR Non-Insulated Fire Rated Access Door has a textured frame and bead so drywall joint compound can be applied in sufficient thickness to conceal the flange. Frame is 16 gauge steel, surrounded by galvanized drywall bead. Door is 16 gauge steel and opens to 175°. The door is self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release. Hinge is continuous piano hinge. Finish is prime coat of rust inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked grey enamel. The KRP-450-FR is non-insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hour "B" label in walls, and may be used in a 2 hour fire rated wall assembly.
